26 September 15 - Planning a Chidren’s Party

Planning a party for a group of kids can be a dicey proposition. Deciding what food to serve and which games are appropriate for children of different ages can be tricky. There are a few things parents can do to make sure their party is a success. One surefire way to ensure your child enjoys his or her party is to get them directly involved in the planning. You probably already know what their favourite movies, toys and television shows are, but it doesn’t hurt to ask them anyway. Kids change their minds frequently, as any parent knows all too well. You might be surprised at what they tell you. Having your child participate in choosing the theme, picking decorations and creating the invitations will really make them feel that the party is just for them. Of course, adults must always use their best judgement. Hiring circus animals to perform may be a child’s birthday wish, but this could certainly present problems for your garden.

Whether you’re hosting a birthday party or back-to-school celebration, there are many different themes you can choose from. An underwater theme may appeal to the curious child, a pirate theme may appeal to their sense of adventure or a dance party or princess theme might just be simple fun. Ask them what kind of party they would like to have and don’t be surprised at the answer. The may want to host a pirate princess dance party!

Few children would turn down the opportunity to have a bouncy castle at their party. They are great fun and can be a good source of exercise. A bored child is a problem for even the most patient host, but bouncy castles and other inflatable toys and garden games don’t allow for boredom. They keep kids entertained and occupied for hours. That said, a children’s party shouldn’t go on for too long, a few hours tops. That’s about the most we can expect from kids (and parents) before everyone starts feeling a bit cranky. Short and sweet is the name of the game in entertainment. They’ll leave wanting more and sure never to miss an event you host.

Other tips to keep in mind for your next inflatable bouncy castle party is the food. Keep it simple and keep it fun. Be sure not to let the little ones fill up on sweets immediately before jumping up and down in a bouncy castle. That may create a mess you won’t want to deal with.
